Welcome to the homepage of horror poet Katy Bennett. Herein you will find all her news and releases including Dark World a free ebook to celebrate the launch of this website, writing prompts to inspire you with your own writing, a free resource newsletter - Dark Metre - for horror poets and readers and a growing list of sites of fellow horror poets. Katy Bennett lives in London and began writing horror fiction and poetry under the pseudonym Karen James. Her work appeared in the Chimeraworld 2 anthology and at The Dark Krypt. After a long hiatus from writing, she has dropped the penname and is now concentrating on writing free-verse poetry that tells a story. Many of her poems contain horror and the supernatural, favourite authors include Stephen King, James Herbert, Roald Dahl, C S Lewis and Lewis Caroll. Favourite poets include Edgar Allan Poe, H P Lovecraft and Alfred Noyes.
